Looking for more info on this unit...
1. Will it work on Comcasts system?
2. How many channels will it cover.
3. Comcast currently is using Motorola DCT 5100-6200 & DCT 1000-2500, are they
compatable?
Thanks for any help on this info..

I picked one of these up...
I get a blank screen...
when I access the diagnostic screen, it says carrier "lock"
Is there a way to unlock the unit?
Is this why I have a blank screen?
Thanks in advance...

Until your local cable company sets up the converter and sends signal
to it based on your account records in their computer system, you have
nothing more than a door-stop. Here's hoping you didn't spend any
money for the converter. If you did, it's probably money wasted.

To have any chance for that converter to function, you're going to
have to contact your local cable company. Be prepared to give them the
serial number.

Kindly report back here what they said.

Carrier lock is good. You want that.

Blank screen could be a number of things. Most likely it's not
authorized (activated).
