Resetting A General Instruments DCT2244

I just bought a used General Instruments DCT2244 today and the previous owner
has junk saved into the unit. How can I reset the unit so that everything can
be erased from it?

Any ideas?

Power off, unplug from the AC, hold down the front panel POWER
and SELECT buttons while re-applying the AC. Resets the box.
