Hi all:

I was wondering for the RF bypass module, does the Motorola DCT2000/5100
use the same module or do they have one specific for each box? Thanks.

Hey there Cap, Mongo here. The 5100 does NOT have an RF bypass box on
it. It never did. the only boxes that had that capability were the DCT
2000 and the DCT 1000. The new 6208 will not have that capability
either. It causes too many problems for the customers and everybody
decided a while ago that it was an unecessary expense. Have a good
one.

The 5100 documentation from Motorola illustrates the RF Bypass -
though it is different from the 2000/1000 - about twice as wide.

I don't have any, and do not plan to stock them. I even remove them
from 2000s as they are processed.

Actually, the DCT5100/1005 I have from Comcast has the RFT Bypass Module on
the back as there is this twice the size of the DCT2000's RFT Bypass Module
but with only an input and a output and it works correctly when I press RFT
Bypass on the remote as it lets the tv change the channels 2-99.
