Anyone know how to enable the serial port on the motorola dct2224 without
the cable company's help? From my research all the cable co has to do is
go into their billing software and send the "app_is enable" command then
reinitialize the box. Unfortunately the guys at my cable company are being
dicks about it and won't do it. Is there any way to enable it without them?

Thanks,

Billy

What would enabling that port allow you to do?

Well, more accurately control it with my mythtv box (www.mythtv.org), but
it's the exact same idea.
