I would like to build a media server that also acted as pvr. Would it
be possible and would it be legal to use some sort of digital cable
box emulator to descramble the stations that I pay for? I do not want
to steal stations I do not subscribe to, I just want to be able to
tape shows from HBO with out renting another cable box. Thanks. DED

A cable box is the only device currently available that can decrypt any
encrypted digital cable services.

A cable box is the only device currently available that can decrypt any
encrypted digital cable services.
