Can anyone direct me to where I can buy a Digital TV box, or I guess one of
the cable converters. Do they take cards like what I see at Wal-Mart.
Someone told me just to buy one of their open box deals and pick up a second
box that way. I already pay for digital, but I want a box for a computer
that I put together that I can use on my computer screen. I have a Hauppage
Digital card and it will not work with anything but a digital box. A couple
of years ago I ran into a guy who was selling cards and boxes. Is that
still going on. His prices were outrageous but he had a machine that could
reprogram the card every time it took a hit from the cable company. I am a
newbie so some info would be nice and I do appreciate what you can tell me.
thanks.

"A guy selling boxes" will not bee a good solution. If your provider
allows customer "owned" boxes, then you will be able to buy them in
finer electronics boutiqes in your service area, if not the provider
themselves.
