What to "notch" on Comcast Digital Cable in San Francisco
(too old to reply)

I've just converted to digital cable in San Francisco. In the past we
have put a low pass filter on our cable (< channel 70) and added a
couple of internal channels at 74 and 76. However, with the low pass
filter installed we do not get the digital channels. Does anyone know
which analog channels the digital channels are broadcast on? I'm
looking to get either a low pass filter or notch filter but want to be
sure that I'm not excluding the analog channels that the digital
signals are broadcast on?

Any one have any idea?

Aside from calling the tech ops manager . . .

72-73 is about the top of the notch filter for basic, and it should
pass digital - so it looks like digital is between 73 and 80.

Ed, I have hundreds of thousands of converters I would like to sell, the
problem is I would like to get more than three dollars apiece. Can you
suggest or direct me to some sort of internet data base where I could try to
find a home for this equipment. I have older analog and advanced analog
models, I would like to find some sort of international database. Who ever
The DCT dictator is I would like to to know what they are selling them for
these days?

I have thousands of analogs - there is no demand - I have to pay to
have them taken away.

The thing is, that any country that uses analog USA/NTSC cable has
gone digital, and has no interest in purchasing used equipment. Other
countries that would be incompatible with NTSC cable equipment, would
probably not find it economical to modify used equipment to suit there
needs.
