I'd to know if this is true.
Someone said that this data stays on the card forever..
Can someone confirm or detest?
thanks

Dude, what you need to do is RESET your cable box so that when you re-insert
your box without the filter it will not poll (send your unbilled cable PPV
purchases) the cable mainframe when it is hooked up without the filter.
Resetting the device in essence clears the cache on your cable box.

I bought a digital filter, I put it on and ordered a PPV. I wanted to
check it out. The first month.. nothing, bill was fine, I used it a
few times the next month and bill was fine. BUT the third month I got
a visit from the cable company and the guy said that there was a
problem with my box, it was not communicating with the mainframe.
Luckily when i seen the cable truck in front of the house, I took the
filter off. And everything was sent to the company as he "fixed" the
box and I paid for 13 PPV's (which is what I ordered) These things DO
NOT WORK as a "getting free PPV" they are just a delay device.
DO NOT BUY THESE THINGS!!!! I learned by experience.

It wont stay in the NVROM or whatever ROM in the box forever, once
cable co. polled it , its deleted.
But I feel like cheated by those who selling filters, that thing
worked, but only delay your bill. unless you just watch several ppvs
until you are blocked continue watching ppv because of your box is not
responding. in my case I stupidly called cable co. and removed filter
b4 called, so cant be worse cause those ordered-ppv-info which were
hiding there waiting to burst out were polled from the box eventually
and you finally got 14 ppvs several rated several WWE which was 40
bucks and totoally I got 170 bucks bill only for ppv not mention
monthly charge of 50 bucks. So damn those filter sales they are just
cheating you. I dont know if some box model(maybe old ones) wont lock
ppv up so you can continue watching without calling cable co., but
eventually they will find you out and send a tech to take back the box
to have it fixed. at that time unless u already reset or flushed the
box ROM you are fucked. so believe it or not, most of those positive
response in ebay are those who were hoofed only a short period. I
regret now i have put that positive response then. anyway, no free
lunch in the world.
